Bayern Munich are set to sign Chelsea star, Ian Maatsen after holding initial talks over a deal for the player.

Maatsen impressed during Chelsea’s pre-season last summer and was expected to be handed a regular role under manager Mauricio Pochettino.

However, he started just three games for Chelsea before he was allowed to join Borussia Dortmund on loan in the January transfer window.

The 22-year-old has been one of Dortmund’s standout players since his move to the Bundesliga.

He is keen to make the move permanent in the summer.

But according to Sky Germany, Bayern are seeking a possible replacement for Alphonso Davies, who is wanted by Real Madrid, and Maatsen is on their shortlist.
