Arsenal star, Gabriel Jesus has insisted that the club already know if they will sign a new striker in the summer transfer window.

Jesus said this while insisting he is not fazed by the reports that Arsenal want to sign a new striker.

The 27-year-old has had a mixed time since joining the Gunners from Manchester City in 2022.

Knee and hamstring injuries have caused the Brazilian international to miss 14 games for Premier League North London club this season and seen his output in the league fall to just four goals and three assists so far.

His lack of goals was often cited as a potential threat to Arsenal’s title race, and as a result there is much speculation that Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta wants to sign a new striker in the summer with the likes of Napoli’s Victor Osimhen, Brentford’s Ivan Toney and Sporting Lisbon’s Viktor Gyokeres all linked with a move to Emirates.

“They [Arsenal] already know if they want to [sign a new striker], so maybe this question is not for me!” Jesus said at his pre-match press conference ahead of Arsenal’s UEFA Champions League tie with Bayern Munich on Tuesday.

“The speculation will always be there, not only here but every club. People want to decide who the club wants to sign. This is happening not just at Arsenal but at a lot of clubs.”

He added, “My job is to try to work, train hard, improve what I have to improve and in the games try to help Arsenal win and then obviously win trophies.”
