UEFA has said the Champions League quarter-final ties scheduled for this week will go ahead as scheduled despite an alleged terror threat.

There are reports that ISIS has issued a threat concerning all four of this week’s ties.

But UEFA has now released a statement on the matter.

It said: “UEFA is aware of alleged terrorist threats made towards this week’s UEFA Champions League matches and is closely liaising with the authorities at the respective venues.

“All matches are planned to go ahead as scheduled with appropriate security arrangements in place.”

Arsenal will host Bayern Munich at the Emirates Stadium in London and Manchester City are away at Real Madrid on Tuesday.

On Wednesday, Atletico Madrid welcomes Borussia Dortmund, while Barcelona will be at Paris Saint-Germain’s Parc des Princes.
