As Arsenal prepare for the summer transfer window, the Gunners are reportedly set to make an offer for Sporting Lisbon’s Viktor Gyokeres, who is currently one of the most prolific strikers in the world- surpassing Manchester City attacker Erling Haaland’s goal tally (37 games, 30 goals and 6 assists)

this season.

However, based on a report from TBR football, Arsenal will face competition from their London rivals Chelsea amid speculation that Gyokeres will likely leave if his manager Ruben Amorim departs for Liverpool.

The Swedish striker’s release clause is set at £85.5 million, but his impressive record with 36 goals and 15 assists in just 42 appearances has piqued the interest of clubs looking to bolster their attacking ranks.

Despite the high cost, both Arsenal and Chelsea are said to be preparing an offer for Gyokeres.

Both Premier clubs are keen to bolster their attacking options by signing a new striker in the summer.
