Former Real Madrid striker, Michael Owen has named three Premier League stars that would improve Arsenal.

Arsenal have enjoyed another impressive season under their manager Mikel Arteta.

The Gunners currently sit in second position on the Premier League table with 71 points from 32 games.

They are only two points behind leaders Manchester City and ahead of third placed Liverpool on goal difference.

However, Owen believes there are at least three Premier League players – Ollie Watkins, Alexander Isak and Ivan Toney – who would improve Arsenal if they moved to the Premier League North London club this summer.

Discussing Arsenal’s reported interest in Watkins, who currently plays for Aston Villa, Owen told Premier League Productions: “He is a player who is getting better and better year on year.

“He is the type of player who could go into the Arsenal team, whether or not they can buy him is another thing.

“There are a lot of players in the Premier League at the moment who would probably be an upgrade on what Arsenal have right now.

He added, “You are looking at [Alexander] Isak up at Newcastle, maybe Ivan Toney at Brentford and Ollie Watkins at Aston Villa.”
