Tanzanian artist Diamond Platnumz has now revealed that he has never experienced being dumped by any of his ex-girlfriends.
In a recent interview on Wasafi media, the prolific artist explained his approach to ending relationships, stating that when he feels pressured, he intentionally behaves in a hurtful manner to prompt his partner to leave.
“I have never been dumped by any woman. When I am dating and I feel like the woman is interfering with me, I misbehave and do things that will hurt her until she quits the relationship,” he confessed.
Diamond, who has been in the spotlight for his romantic entanglements and fathered four children, also asserted that all his past partners have loved him more than he loved them.
Who has Diamond dated in the past?
Zari Hassan made headlines as the first woman to publicly end her relationship with Diamond Platnumz on Valentine’s Day in 2018.
In an interview with the BBC later that year, following her announcement on Instagram, Zari revealed that she had made the decision three weeks prior to Valentine’s Day.
“For three to four weeks we were not talking, so when Valentine’s Day came, I had digested everything within the three weeks and I knew that relationship was not for me.”
What ultimately pushed Zari Hassan over the edge were the photos of Diamond with his ex-partner.
“I mean, we were trying to see how we can move on from the scandal of him having a child (with Hamisa Mobetto) so we can move forward. But then you see how he’s hugging his exes in public. Things that embarrass me, things that make me feel very disrespected in front of my children, yet you just watch, it is not right.”
She continued: “To be honest, his video with the ex ilitoka and I tried to ask. That was the morning before. And every time you ask someone, they have a lot of stories. Right then, I decided to block him completely from my contacts because when you trust someone, you’ve given them your life, but they treat you casually and continue to humiliate you even further.”
“He does things and thinks it is okay with him but he is not thinking about you or the outcome. Hapo ndio nikasema you know what? We are done,” Zari added.
Zari also posted an excerpt from a book written by Kira J titled Breaking Point. In the book, the author says,
“…You will never win with him. Why? Because bad men are not prizes. You can stay with him, have a bunch of children, marry him etc but you are still lost.”
Diamond later dated Kenyan artiste, Tanasha Donna.
The mother of one hooked up with Diamond, in late 2018 and on October 2, 2019, they welcomed their first child together.
Their relationship just like any other started being rocky along the way forcing her to move out early March 2020. She accused her baby daddy of infidelity.
According to Tanasha, the Waah hitmaker is a polygamist hence she could not keep up with his endeavors.
“I understand polygamy & all but Allah knows I was not wired for that. It’s me alone or lose me,” she wrote on Twitter.
In November 2023, Tanasha said that she draws the line in relationships when they become toxic.
She also claimed she dumped Diamond.
“Honestly speaking, I’m not trying to brag but I’ve never been dumped in my life. Never. It’s just the truth I have never been dumped.”
She added, “I’m the one who lives maybe because I feel certain needs are not being met or I feel like we’re not aligning on the same page or something like that.”
Diamond has never revealed what transpired between him and Tanasha.
