A boda boda rider attempting to cross a flooded road with two passengers aboard has sparked outrage online. Despite nearly making it across, the rider and passengers were eventually overwhelmed by the strong currents. Efforts to salvage the situation proved futile until a bystander came to their rescue.

Interior Cabinet Secretary Kithure Kindiki had previously warned against attempting to cross flooded rivers, threatening charges of attempted murder. The viral video has prompted varied reactions online, with some expressing disappointment in the actions of the boda boda rider and his passengers.

Singhsational:

“Almost made it though.”

Steve Mbogo: “But I was really cheering that nduthi guy to make it through, his determination and zeal was very impressive but physics is physics.”

Teescot:

“They normally exchange their brain with logbook when taking the motorbike.”

David_MD:

“Even the person boarding it in this case is. How do you allow someone to ride with you into the heart of floods?”

Hlm Harold:

“The problem is the passenger. The bodaboda guy has non-problem, that’s their nature.”
