Detectives have apprehended three individuals suspected of trafficking cocaine in the New Donholm area of Nairobi. The suspects, consisting of one woman and two men, were intercepted by a team of ANU & OSU detectives on Saturday.

Upon searching their residence in the New Donholm area, authorities discovered 298 pellets of cocaine concealed within three teddy bears. Additionally, the suspects were found in possession of a black suitcase containing only a few articles of clothing, toiletries, and the aforementioned teddy bears.

“On ripping the teddy bears open 298 pellets of the nose candy weighing about 6.8kg estimated at Sh27.5 million in street value were discovered,” detectives said.
The detectives also found several air tickets for different destinations in the name of the female suspect.

Also found was Sh37,000 cash believed to be proceeds of the illegal trade.

“The DCI thanks the members of the public who continue to Fichua kwa DCI by sharing actionable information, and warns traffickers that their misplaced efforts will only earn them tickets to courtrooms and correctional facilities,” detectives said.
