Equity recognized as best lender in trade finance

Equity Bank triumphed as the top bank in trade financing at the 20th Edition of the Think Business Banking Awards.

Additionally, it secured first place in eight other categories, demonstrating its dedication to providing superior trade finance solutions and supporting Kenyan businesses in international trade.

The bank emphasized its commitment to accessible financial services to foster sustainable economic growth across the continent.

Equity Bank also excelled in agency banking, product marketing with the “Kusave Ni Rahisi Na Equity” campaign, asset finance, agriculture and livestock financing, retail banking, and corporate banking.

It was recognized as the top commercial bank in microfinance. Furthermore, the bank received the special judge’s award for product innovation for its Equity Group Foundation (EGF) – Water Financing initiative, highlighting its commitment to sustainable financial solutions.

The bank received two special recognitions, affirming its leadership in the banking sector. It was honored as a green bank in Kenya, showcasing its commitment to environmentally sustainable practices.

Additionally, Equity Bank was included in the Roll of Class Acts of 20 Years, celebrating banks that have consistently delivered value and maintained high performance over the past two decades.

“These recognitions underscore Equity Bank’s longstanding impact and innovative approach in the banking industry,” noted Gerald Warui, the managing director at Equity Bank Kenya.
