A 32-year-old bodaboda rider has been killed by gangsters who robbed him of his motorbike and two mobile phones and then raped his wife at Got Rateng’ village in Lambwe East location, Homa Bay County.

The gangsters reportedly raided Jacob Osore’s house at 4 am Tuesday where they attacked him with a panga making him unconscious and then resorted to assaulting his wife.

Lambwe East Chief Benard Ouma said the gangsters were heard demanding money which Osore acquired through a fundraiser organised a few weeks ago to help him purchase another motorbike since his previous one had been stolen in a previous robbery incident.

Osoro was rushed to Homa Bay County Referral Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. His wife is also recuperating from the same facility.

The deceased’s body is lying at Homa Bay County Referral Hospital mortuary.

Meanwhile, Mbita Sub-county Police Commander Solomon Barngetuny has said that his officers are already at the scene.
