Governor Johnson Sakaja has arrived at Bomas Kenya, the venue for the Nairobi UDA conference.

He plans to drum up support for his bid to be voted in as the party’s chairperson ahead of Friday’s elections.

Previously, on April 26, Sakaja faced an issue during the grassroots elections when the system rejected his registration details, preventing him from casting his vote at St. Georges Primary School.

UDA’s National Elections Board chairman Anthony Mwaura explained that technical challenges caused the system to briefly fail to recognize Sakaja’s registration, as he had registered using his passport. Mwaura assured that the issue had been resolved.
