England midfielder, Phil Foden, has left camp to fly back home.

In a statement, the Football Association confirmed that he has returned home because of a “pressing family matter.”.

It is believed that Foden is expecting his third child.

Foden has started all three England’s matches at the tournament so far.

The 24-year-old is expected to be back in time for their last-16 game on Sunday.

Gareth Southgate’s men qualified for the knockout stages as Group C winners, although their performances have attracted criticism from fans and pundits alike.
