Bomet Governor Hillary Barchok cautioned the Rift Valley region against showing disrespect towards Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua. He emphasized the importance of ending internal conflicts within Kenya Kwanza to facilitate a smoother return in 2027.

”If there is any community that should go down on its knees to pray, it is ours, if there is a community that is desperate, it’s ours, we should not behave as if we are on our second term,” he said.

Barchok who spoke during a church service in Kaplong, Bomet County, said there is a need for the Rift Valley to remain humble and respectful.

”The way we are behaving and the fights we are having in government are destroying all that,” Barchok said.
The DP is attending the service at Deliverance Church accompanied by some of his troops, a few kilometres from Lorigorian, where his boss Willliam Ruto is worshipping.
At the same time, Barchok said there is a need for Kenyans to pray for the country to heal any rifts that could be there among top leaders.

The governor called for a radical surgery in government to stabilise Kenya Kwanza in the wake of what he termed as challenges.
”We want to see radical changes in government,” Barchok said, warning Rift Valley leaders against disrespecting Gachagua.
”Let us associate with Gachagua, he is the deputy president, even if you don’t respect him as a person, respect his office.”
