Argentina will play Canada in the semi-final of this year’s Copa America.

This follows Jesse Marsch’s men penalty shoot-out win over Venezuela on Friday night.

The game ended 1-1 after 90 minutes of football and there was no extra time.

With the teams all square after five attempts each, Wilker Ángel had his spot-kick saved by Maxime Crepeau, Ismael Kone converted the winning penalty to send Canada through.

Canada will face Argentina in New Jersey on Tuesday. The semi-final will be a repeat of the opening game, in which the defending champions won 2-0.

The North American side became the fourth Concacaf team to reach the semi-finals of Copa América, after Mexico, Honduras and the United States.
