Safaricom has postponed the scheduled system maintenance originally planned for Sunday, moving it to take place from 11 pm Sunday to 4 am Monday. In a statement issued on Sunday, Safaricom noted that it had adjusted the timing in response to feedback received after initially announcing the maintenance period.

“We hear you, and we value your feedback. The scheduled system maintenance later this evening has been rescheduled to a later date to allow you to enjoy a worry-free M-PESA on this sport-packed evening,” it said.

The service provider had originally scheduled the maintenance “to fulfill our commitment to consistently provide seamless and superior customer experiences.”

During this period, access to Lipa Na M-PESA, Paybill and Buy Goods services, international money transfers (Western Union), M-PESA Global, as well as the M-PESA App and My Safaricom App, were expected to be intermittently available.

“All other services including calls, data, SMS and all other M-PESA services will be available as usual,” Safaricom said.
The Euro Finals will take place at 10pm, between Spain vs England.
