Inter Miami superstar, Lionel Messi, has been given a relatively low 4% chance of winning the Ballon d’Or this year.

Although Messi led Argentina to glory at the 2024 Copa America, he is not expected to add to his eight Ballon d’Or awards.

According to Score 90, Real Madrid’s Vinicius Junior leads the way with a 35% probability of taking home the prestigious award.

Manchester City midfielder Rodri is behind with a 32% chance, while Vinicius’ team-mate at the Bernabeu, Jude Bellingham comes in third with an 11% probability.

Dani Carvajal, also of Real Madrid, ranks fourth with a 7% chance.

The Ballon d’Or ceremony will hold in October 2024.
