The unbeaten USA squad, led by NBA superstar LeBron James, will face Brazil on Tuesday in the quarter-finals of the men’s basketball competition at the Paris Olympics, following Saturday’s draw.
The Americans, who arguably have their strongest Olympic team since Michael Jordan’s 1992 Dream Team, secured three wins out of three in the group phase, defeating Puerto Rico 104-83 on Saturday. The reigning champions’ game against Brazil is scheduled to tip off at 1930 GMT.
Host nation France, featuring 7ft 4in NBA rookie sensation Victor Wembanyama, will also play on Tuesday against Canada. Meanwhile, Serbia will take on Australia, and Greece, led by their star Giannis Antetokounmpo, will compete against World Cup holders Germany, with their match tipping off first on Tuesday at 0900 GMT.
The basketball competition moves to Paris for the knockout phase after the group stage took place near the northern French city of Lille.
