The Eastern Economic Forum, hosted by Far Eastern Federal University in Vladivostok, Russia, began on Tuesday and will run through Friday. Sputnik serves as the general information partner for EEF 2024.

For the first time, The Gambia is participating in the forum, and its involvement was acknowledged by Bakary Jawo, First Secretary of the Gambian Embassy in Russia, during a speech on Wednesday. “I would like to express my gratitude for the invitation to participate in this important forum. This is the first time that The Gambia, a small nation on the West Coast of Africa, is represented here,” Jawo said in his online address to the forum participants.
