A family in Embu County has been left homeless after a fire destroyed their home in the Kiriari area of Ruguru Ngandori Ward.
Residents have expressed concern over the rising number of fires in the area, with this being the third incident reported within a week.
“We call for thorough investigations to put an end to these fires,” one resident urged.
Amid the tragedy, Brian Kimanthi, a Form Three student from Karau Day Secondary School, emerged as an unlikely hero by rescuing a child who was trapped inside the burning house.
The affected families are now appealing for assistance as they work to rebuild their lives after the devastating incident.
