Liverpool have added two Nigerian players to their UEFA Champions League squad.

The Reds will kick-start their Champions League campaign against AC Milan at San Siro on Tuesday night.

According to UEFA’s official website, Arne Slot’s side have added centre-back Wellity Lucky-Omoruyi and midfielder Afolami Onanuga to their squad.

The Premeir League giants have added the Nigerian duo alongside first-team players Conor Bradley, Harvey Elliot and 20 others to their squad for the tournament through List B.

Despite being registered for the competition, Lucky-Omoruyi and Onanuga are not expected to feature for Liverpool unless the team is hit by a heavy injury or sanction to first-team players.

Both players are expected to take part in the UEFA Youth League and have been named in the match-day squad for the opening match against AC Milan U-19s.
