Davis & Shirtliff, a leading provider of water and energy solutions in Africa, has announced a partnership with Flowserve Corporation to improve access to high-quality, affordable industrial pumps and seals for businesses in East and Central Africa.
Flowserve, a global leader in flow control products and services, will leverage Davis & Shirtliff’s established regional presence to expand its market reach. This collaboration allows Davis & Shirtliff to enhance its industrial portfolio with a range of premium Flowserve (FLS) products, including the high-performance Mark3 DURCO chemical pumps, ZLINE, Innomag, ISOMAG, vacuum pumps, and multi-stage pumps. The partnership also includes advanced mechanical seal solutions like KeyPS, ISC2, slurry seals, mixer seals, and bearing guards.

Davis also emphasized the importance of supporting industrial customers in meeting new climate change-related legal obligations. Flowserve contributes to this goal through its RedRaven Internet of Things (IoT)-enabled predictive maintenance solution, which allows customers to digitize their energy-producing assets and industrial processes.
This technology offers real-time monitoring, analysis, and prediction of equipment performance, helping plant operators prevent failures and reduce downtime.

Additionally, the collaboration enables Davis & Shirtliff to leverage Flowserve’s expertise to help industrial plants reduce their total cost of ownership, enhance safety, and optimize water consumption.

The industrial sector in East Africa currently contributes 8.9 percent to the region’s GDP and has significant potential to drive economic growth, create jobs, and improve living standards through the adoption of modern technology and high-quality machinery. According to the 2024 Kenya Economic Survey, the industrial sector grew by two percent in 2023, down from 2.6 percent in 2022.
