The Embu County Boxing Association is set to host the much-anticipated 3rd leg of the National Boxing League at Moi Stadium from September 26 to 28. The event is expected to be a thrilling showcase of Kenya’s top boxing talent, drawing fighters and fans from across the country.

David Munuhe, Secretary of the Boxing Federation of Kenya (BFK), expressed confidence in the event’s competitiveness. “The third leg of the National Boxing League begins today in Embu, and we expect thrilling competition as teams fight for top spots. All teams are heading to Embu, and preparations are complete—we are ready to go,” Munuhe stated.

The Kenya Police Boxing Club, known as ‘Chafua Chafua,’ has issued a strong challenge to rivals Kenya Defence Forces (KDF). After missing the first leg in Kisumu, Chafua Chafua is eager to make up ground, sitting on 26 points and aiming to catch up with KDF, who currently lead the standings with 56 points.

As the league enters this crucial phase, the top four teams—KDF, Chafua Chafua, Prisons, and Nairobi County—are all striving to secure their positions. Prisons, known for their disciplined athletes, and Nairobi County, famed for their resilience, are close behind the top two teams and could pose a significant threat.

The Police and KDF women’s teams are in close pursuit, determined to challenge Nairobi County’s dominance. Meanwhile, Nakuru, currently in fourth place, is expected to make a strong push to improve their standing.
