Bayern Munich manager, Vincent Kompany, has congratulated Barcelona after they lost 4-1 in the Champions League at the Nou Camp.

Raphinha scored a hat-trick for the LaLiga giants as they ended a run of six successive defeats against Bayern in the competition.

Speaking after the game, Kompany hailed Barca as a top team and claimed it was “not a surprise”.

He said: “Congrats to Barça. They are a top team in Europe, so it’s not a surprise.

“These are the games we want to win and show the best version of Bayern.

“For us it’s about learning from this to show a better level in the Bundesliga and return at best level in UCL.”
