Two suspected drug traffickers have been arrested after they were found in possession of cocaine and several rolls of bhang.

The two, Anthony Ndirangu Wanjiku and Sabiri Kalicha, were arrested by detectives at a petrol station in Ruiru near the Eastern Bypass.

“The two notorious suspects that have been trafficking cocaine around the capital and sections of Kiambu county,”detectives said.

Police said the two had parked their Toyota Vanguard registration number KCG 650T waiting for a potential buyer.

“In their car were samples of the crack and several rolls of marijuana. Upon search, 9 pellets of cocaine weighing about 180g were found in their vehicle, alongside several rolls of bhang,” detectives added.

On interrogation, it was established that the two were peddling the cocaine at Ksh. 2,800 per gram, and were set to make at least Ksh. 504,000 from the sales.

The suspects spent the night in custody pending arraignment. Detectives are pursuing other accomplices that have since been identified.
