Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka has announced plans to form a major political coalition aimed at unseating President William Ruto’s administration in the 2027 general elections.

In a church service on Sunday, Kalonzo revealed that he will lead efforts to unite various political parties and mobilize leaders from across the country to form a single formidable alliance with one goal – winning the 2027 elections.

The Azimio leader urged the army and police to be prepared to take charge if another series of protests begin in the country.

“If the next maandamano comes to chase the winds of lies, winds that despise the church… I advise the army and police … if you see things are bad, tell Ruto to leave,” said Kalonzo.

Kalonzo also reflected on the successes of other nations in toppling ruling regimes, highlighting the need for change in Kenya.

Echoing Kalonzo’s sentiments, Jubilee Party Secretary-General Jeremiah Kioni and former Limuru MP Peter Mwathi pledged to rally support for the coalition, with Kioni and Mwathi particularly focusing on securing votes from the Mt. Kenya region.

Kioni emphasized the importance of unity in the region, describing it as key to challenging Ruto’s rule.
