Rapper Kennedy Ombima alias King Kaka and content creator Carter Ninifelly Owiti alias Nana Owiti have ended their relationship after 13 years.

In a joint statement, the couple said that the decision was made after a deep reflection, pointing out that the choice was not made lightly.

The duo did not reveal the cause of the breakup but agreed to maintain a respectful and supportive friendship as they move forward.

Further, they emphasised the importance of co-parenting their three children with the same dedication they have had in the past.

“We honestly never thought we would one day write a statement like this but life happens. After much reflection and consideration we have made the difficult decision to end our relationship,” the statement read in part.

“Over the course of 13 years, we have shared countless memories, built a life together and most importantly raised three incredible children who will always be our top priority.”

The couple, whose relationship has been in the limelight, thanked their fans for their support throughout the journey and implored them to respect their privacy during this period.

“As public figures, we recognize that our personal lives may attract attention but we kindly ask for privacy and understanding during this time as we navigate this transition as a family. Our focus remains on co-parenting our children with love, stability and respect,” the couple said.

“They are the heart of everything we do and their happiness and well-being will always come first. We are grateful for the love and support we have received throughout our journey together and we ask for your continued kindness as we take this next step.”

The breakup comes amid months of speculation over their separation in mid-2024. At the time, Rapper King Kaka dispelled the rumours and warned bloggers to be careful when touching on family matters.

“I don’t clout chase especially when it comes to family issues neither does Nana, I was not even going to address this but the fact that it touching family I have to,” King Kaka said.
