Nigeria forward Gift Orban scored his first goal for Hoffenheim in the thrilling 2-2 draw against Eintracht Frankfurt at the PreZero Arena on Sunday.

Orban, who started the encounter on the bench, was introduced in the 63rd minute, replacing Max Moerstedt.

The 22-year-old cancelled out Hugo Ekitike’s opening goal for the visitors two minutes later.

The striker fired home from inside the box after being set up by Adam Hlozek.

Hoffenheim also featured their other Nigerian import, Kevin Akpoguma, in the game.

The village club now occupy 15th position on the table with 18 points from 19 games, four points above the relegation zone.

Christian Ilzer’s side will be away to holders Bayer Leverkusen in their next league game.
