Authorities are intensifying their search for five fugitives still on the run after a bold escape from Wundanyi Prison.

Out of the 37 prisoners in the cell, eight managed to flee. Three of the escapees have been captured.

Preliminary reports from interviewed cellmates suggest that an iron object, believed to have been smuggled in, was used to facilitate the breakout.

Security teams, working closely with other agencies, are following promising leads and have urged the public to share any credible information to help bring the remaining escapees to justice.

Meanwhile, prison officials are questioning the inmates who stayed behind, hoping to uncover additional insights into the escape.

The public is encouraged to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity as the operation to recapture the fugitives continues.
