Manchester City boss, Pep Guardiola has named playmaker Kevin De Bruyne among top three best players in the history of the club.

Guardiola spoke at his post-match interview after De Bruyne led Man City to beat Plymouth Argyle 3-1 in the FA Cup on Saturday.

Man City defeated Plymouth, thanks to a brace from Nico O’Reilly and a late goal from De Bruyne at the Etihad Stadium.

Speaking about the Belgian, Guardiola admitted that the 33-year-old gave him many things.

“De Bruyne has been one of the top-three, five best players in the whole history of Man City without a doubt,” Guardiola said (via Fabrizio Romano).

“Every time he performs well, I’m the happiest man on the planet! He gave me many, many things, to the team and me.”

De Bruyne joined Man City from VfL Wolfsburg in 2015.

He has won several trophies, including the UEFA Champions League with the Cityzens.

De Bruyne will hope to continue his impressive form when Man City face Nottingham Forest in the Premier League next Saturday.
