Five men were on Thursday charged with murder at the Nakuru High Court in connection to the brutal killing of a local blogger and political activist.

Peter Okech, Joseph Kihara, Evans Aseka, Geoffrey Ndung’u, and Stephen Masheti all pleaded not guilty to the charge before Lady Justice Patricia Gichohi.

They are accused of killing Richard Otieno, alias Molo President, at his Elburgon residence on January 18, 2025.

The suspects reportedly waylaid and assaulted the victim as he made his way home from a popular entertainment joint within the area.

The case will be mentioned on March 27, 2025, for directions on bond and bail.
