Luis Enrique, Paris Saint-Germain manager, has made an honest confession after his team’s UEFA Super Cup victory against Tottenham Hotspur on Wednesday night.

Erinque admitted that Tottenham were stronger than his team during both sides’ UEFA Super Cup tie in Italy.

According to the Spaniard, Spurs played a great match against the Parisians.

Erinque watched as the French Ligue 1 champions came from 2-0 down to defeat Thomas Frank’s side via penalty shoot-out.

The encounter ended in a 2-2 draw after 90 minutes, thanks to goals from Micky van de Ven, Cristian Romero, Goncalo Ramos and Lee Kang-in.

Speaking at his post-match interview after the game, Erinque said: “Tottenham played a great match, they were stronger than us.

“I don’t know if it is a fair result, but that is football. It is our faith, we believe we can win all the time.

“I am very happy, despite the fact it may have been unfair on Tottenham.”
