Manchester United defender, Harry Maguire, has claimed the Premier League club blocked his exit this summer.

According to Maguire, several clubs were intested in signing him, but United refused to entertain any offers.

“I am almost certain that Man United made it clear this summer that I could not leave under any circumstances,” he said.

“Several clubs inquired, and I think they were quickly told.”

Maguire joined the Red Devils from Leicester City in the summer of 2019 for a whopping £80 million.

Despite enduring a torrid time at Old Trafford during which he was stripped of the captain’s armband, the 32-year-old appears to have found a new lease on life under manager Ruben Amorim.
