Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola has revealed what he told Real Madrid forward, Rodrygo after his side’s UEFA Champions League 2-1 win on Wednesday.
Guardiola watched as Man City defeated Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeu.
Two goals from Nico O’Reilly and Erling Haaland gave the Premier League giants the victory.
Rodrygo did score Real Madrid’s only goal of the encounter against the Cityzens.
Speaking after the game, Guardiola revealed that he told Rodrygo what a player he is, describing the Brazilian international as incredible.
“I went to Rodrygo and I told him: what a player you are… he’s really unbelievable,” Guardiola said as quoted by Fabrizio Romano.
Rodrygo has had a tough season under Real Madrid manager Xabi Alonso so far this season.
The 24-year-old has struggled this term and, also failed to score a goal in many matches for the Los Blancos.
Rodrygo was linked with a move to the Premier League in the last transfer window, but the move didn’t materialize.
