USA-based Kenyan TikToker Captain Sammir has used strong words to warn his newlywed wife, Gilo Ntinyari, against letting her family meddle in their marriage during a TikTok live session.
Speaking on the live aired on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, Sammir expressed frustration over comments left by Gilo’s sister on their live session, insisting that no one should try to control or influence their relationship.
“I am not the one to be controlled, so baby girl, if you love yourself and you love me, do not allow your family to interfere with me or think that they can tell you to come and interfere with my life,” Sammir said.
Sammir, visibly upset, emphasised that he is not someone to be controlled in any form and warned against anyone attempting to intervene in his marriage.
He said he had personally entrusted Gilo with access to his social media accounts, including TikTok, and was particularly irked that the live session had been ended prematurely by an unknown individual.

Captain Sammir added that if his livestream is disrupted again, there would be serious repercussions.
“I know who ended the live we were in. I gave that person all my TikTok logins, and it irks me that they ended my live. If anyone ends my live, they should know I will end theirs too, and more repercussions will follow,” Sammir lashed.
The content creator further clarified that he holds firm boundaries regarding his personal platforms, urging Gilo not to allow family members to bring outside influence into their marriage.
He stressed that their union, celebrated just days after his former partner Hanna Benta welcomed a newborn, is a private matter and should remain between the couple.
“I do not care how much you love your sister or others, but do not bring any nonsense onto my platforms. Do you understand that? My live can never be ended by anyone, and I am telling you the truth,” he said.

Sammir and Gilo’s wedding
Previously, K24 Digital reported that the USA-based Kenyan TikToker walked down the aisle with his wife, fellow TikToker Gilo Ntinyari, just days after his ex-lover and long-time girlfriend, Hanna Benta, welcomed a newborn baby.
The wedding was held inside a Catholic church in Meru, where Gilo hails from, and was attended by members of the local Meru community, Captain Sammir’s family members, and Gilo’s close relatives.
In a TikTok livestream shared on Saturday, January 3, 2026, Captain Sammir was seen walking Gilo down the aisle inside the church as attendees sang local Meru wedding songs, creating a vibrant and culturally rich atmosphere.
A priest who was dressed in a white cassock went ahead to bless the couple and prayed for them before they slid rings onto each other’s fingers and said their vows.
In the same video, bridesmaids who were dressed in green dresses could be seen dancing and singing as Sammir and Gilo went ahead to sign their marriage certificates.
