Kenyan-born content creator and chess champion Elsa Majimbo has shared advice with her fans on balancing love and career.
In a statement on her X account on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, Majimbo encouraged young people to focus on their professional growth while keeping their personal relationships flexible.
“Have multiple boyfriends and let your career be your soulmate,” Majimbo stated.
This comes months after she said that the partner one chooses can shape their happiness or misery. In a statement on her X account on November 11, 2025, she suggested that marrying the right person can lead to a joyful life, while choosing poorly may bring stress and unhappiness.
“The person you marry determines your misery or happiness,” Majimbo said.
Majimbo has also recently confirmed that she plans to remain child-free.
Love life
Elsa’s relationship history includes introducing a Caucasian boyfriend to her fans in 2022. Through photos and videos on social media, she expressed her affection for him, praising the joy, love, and small acts of care he brought into her life, from styling her hair to playing chess with her.
“To my darling love…thank you for bringing me so much happiness, love, joy. Thank you for showing me what love looks like,” Elsa captioned one of the posts. She continued, “Thank you for doing my hair and playing chess with me and buying me things (my favourite). I love you so.” In one video, the young man, sporting a well-trimmed beard, was seen helping Elsa style her hair in their apartment.
However, in 2024, Elsa announced that she and her DJ boyfriend, Hakeem, had broken up. She explained that the split was caused by a lack of trust following an incident at a Miami conference, where a technician suggested miking her using her underwear.
“I flew to Miami because I was speaking at a panel conference. The first day I rested, the second day I was to speak, it came time to have my mic put up. I had a strapless dress so we had to find a solution,” she explained.
Elsa felt unsupported when her boyfriend blamed her for the situation instead of standing by her, prompting her to end the relationship permanently.
Since then, she has kept her love life private.
