Speaking while giving an update on the burial arrangements on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, Wambugu revealed that Terry’s bodyhas been preserved at the Kenyatta University Teaching, Referral and Research Hospital mortuary, where the burial process will officially begin.

She explained that family, friends and colleagues will first gather at the mortuary for body viewing before proceeding to Murang’a, where Terry will be laid to rest.

“Her burial will start at the KU Referral Mortuary, where her body has been preserved. We will view the body, after which we will travel to Murang’a, where we will lay her to rest,” she stated.

In an emotional reflection, Wambugu described Terry as far more than just an employee, saying that laying her to rest would mark the loss of a close friend, a prayer partner and a trusted personal assistant.

Wambugu disclosed that Terry served as her personal assistant and worked with deep devotion, commitment and faithfulness.

She added that beyond business, they had also served together in ministry, revealing that their journey as servants of God spanned more than 14 years. According to Wambugu, Terry was someone who knew her very well, just as she knew Terry intimately, making the loss particularly painful.

“I am laying to rest a woman who has been very close to me, someone we have come very far with, and someone who worked for me in the most dedicated way,” she narrated.

She further stated that Terry carried out her duties diligently and wholeheartedly, describing her as someone who worked with sincerity, loyalty and love.

Wambugu noted that although Terry’s death has left a deep void, she finds comfort in the belief that her late employee has gone to be with her maker.
