His arrival was celebrated by fellow gospel singer Karangu Muraya, who shared photos of his reception at JKIA, expressing gratitude to God.
“NJERU THIGA KENYA Back in Kenya from India. Uu niguo Ngai wikaga. Ngai witu nitwacokia Ngatho. (We are grateful to God),” Muraya said in a statement on his Facebook account on Tuesday, January 27, 2026.

Njeru flew to India for further treatment and underwent a gruelling 15-hour surgery.
The surgery was successful, and the Kigoco singer was able to walk again as he kept his fans updated on his recovery journey.
Karangu Muraya’s encouraging update
The encouraging update was shared by gospel singer and philanthropist Karangu Muraya on Facebook on Monday, January 5, 2026, who revealed that the singer managed to walk for more than five minutes inside the hospital just days after the complex operation.
“See God… we are in tears of Joy…. a few days after a major surgery that took more than 15 hours. Our brother NJERU THIGA has walked more than 5 minutes in the hospital this evening,” Karangu wrote.
Muraya hailed the successful surgery as a miracle, revealing that it took more than 15 hours with a qualified team of doctors handling the delicate operation.

“Jehovah, you are Wonderful. Dear friends, this is a journey that is spending more money than we expected…. I know there are people who love this great man of God,” he added.
Muraya also appealed for support, noting that the singer’s family was facing immense strain due to his prolonged absence from home and the financial and emotional demands of treatment abroad.
