Comedienne Dem Wa Facebook has appealed to Kenyans to help her increase her Facebook following by at least 1,000 followers after noticing her numbers were sitting at 666.
In a post shared on her Facebook page on Friday, January 30, 2026, the entertainer asked her supporters to push her past the figure, saying she did not want people to start linking her to the Illuminati, a claim that often comes up online as a joke whenever someone’s numbers land on 666.
“Naomba mniongezee hao 1k followers nitoke hii 666 before waanze kusema niko Illuminati,” she stated.

666 and Illuminati
The number 666 is widely known from the Bible’s Book of Revelation, where it is described as the number of the beast. Over the years, the number has been used in movies, music and internet culture to represent evil or dark forces, even though religious scholars have explained that the passage has been interpreted in different ways, including links to historical figures in the Roman Empire. Because of its reputation, many people still treat 666 as a suspicious number, and it is sometimes dragged into conspiracy theories.
The Illuminati, on the other hand, was originally a real group known as the Bavarian Illuminati, founded in 1776 in Germany. The society was later banned, and historians say there is no solid proof that it continued operating secretly to control global events.
Despite that, the Illuminati name has remained popular online, with many conspiracy theories claiming wealthy people and celebrities are part of a hidden organisation, even though such claims are not backed by evidence.
