Content creator Ruth K has defended her parenting following claims by her former manager that she deliberately made her son cry to create content aimed at reconnecting with her ex-partner, comedian Mulamwah.
In an Instagram post on Monday, February 2, 2026, Ruth K broke her silence on the matter, addressing the claims and clarifying her position.
She emphasised that at no point did she ever harm her son or intentionally make him cry for content or personal reasons.
“Let me address this once and for all. No mother who carried a pregnancy for nine months and risked her life to bring another life into this world would ever hurt her child,” she wrote.
Ruth explained that her silence should not be interpreted as weakness but rather as a deliberate choice to protect her child from public scrutiny.

She reiterated that her love for her son is immeasurable, and his well-being remains her top priority.
“Don’t take my silence for weakness. I hate explaining myself, but when it involves my son, lazima ni address,” she added.
Not staged content
Ruth also clarified that any public footage showing her child upset was not staged or used for content purposes.
“Just to clear the air, I DID NOT PINCH MY CHILD, AND NEVER IN MY LIFE WILL I EVER HURT HIM. Only God knows how much I love this boy, and my prayer every day is that God protects him from all my enemies and covers him with His holy blood,” she said.

In a past YouTube video, Ruth K detailed that her son Calvin cried nonstop for eight days, leaving her deeply concerned and prompting her to seek help from her family.
She revealed that her parents live near her ex-partner, comedian Mulamwah, and on her father’s suggestion, she let Calvin visit his father.
Upon seeing Mulamwah, Calvin immediately ran to him and hugged him, finally finding comfort. After the visit, Ruth shared that her son stopped crying and appeared calm and happy again, giving her immense relief.
