Geoffrey Mosiria has asked Police Inspector General Douglas Kanja to ensure that criminals who attacked an innocent Nairobian are arrested without delay.

In an emotional Facebook post on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, Mosiria lamented that Kenya should not be a place where lives are lost and everything continues as if nothing happened.

“So sad, why kill?” Mosiria posed, expressing outrage over the incident. He called on the Inspector General to urgently intervene and ensure that those responsible are swiftly apprehended and brought to justice,” he said.

“I strongly request and call upon the Inspector General of Police to urgently intervene and ensure that the criminals who attacked and killed this man are swiftly arrested and brought to justice,” he wrote.

Mosiria questioned how suspects who were allegedly captured clearly on CCTV footage could still be roaming free.

“How do we allow criminals who are even known and clearly captured on CCTV to walk freely as if nothing happened, as if no life was lost? This cannot be normal. This cannot be acceptable,” he added.

According to the message, the victim, identified as John Kariuki, was attacked on the night of December 24, 2025, along Kamakis by three individuals said to be known in the area.

He was first rushed to Kiambu Government Hospital before being transferred to St Bridget Hospital, where doctors discovered internal bleeding in his head.

Surgery was performed on the night of December 26, 2025, but he succumbed to his injuries on December 27, 2025.

The case was reportedly filed at Gatongora Police Station and with DCI Ruiru.

However, the family claims no arrests have been made despite the existence of CCTV footage capturing the attack.

Mosiria emphasised that such acts of violence must not be tolerated, stating that the bereaved family, including the deceased’s young wife and two children, deserves justice.

“The family deserves justice, and the public deserves safety and accountability,” he said.

By the time of publication, the National Police Service had not issued an official statement regarding the progress of investigations.
