Detectives from the Serious Crimes Unit of the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) have apprehended a man in connection with the fraudulent transfer of company vehicles.

The suspect, Boris Owiye Agonga who is one of the directors of Digitalent Systems Limited, is alleged to have forged documents of two vehicles and transferred them to himself.

“Using a web of forged documents, Agonga, who is one of the company directors, deceitfully transferred ownership of not one but two company vehicles: a Land Rover Discovery and a Nissan Sylphy, into his name,” said the DCI in a statement.

An investigation into the case led to the recovery of one of the stolen vehicles, the Land Rover Discovery, which has since been held securely as an exhibit.

Agonga is currently in custody, undergoing processing pending arraignment.
