Content creator Yvonne Mugure has explained her decision to keep her marriage private and away from her content.
She said her marriage is not the focus of what she shares online and that she has learned to protect that part of her life.
“I learned the importance of keeping my marriage private, and it’s just not the focus of my content,” she said on Friday, February 20, 2026.
She added that this choice is about peace, not hiding.
She said she is more private because she values her personal space.
“In general, I’m a bit more private, not because I’m hiding but because I value my happiness bubble,” she said.
She explained that she does not want her private life exposed to people who may not mean well.
“And don’t want it exposed to the world, which sometimes don’t have the best intentions,” she said.
She also said she still shares parts of her life with the public.
“I still share a lot, I think, though,” she said.
She made it clear that privacy does not mean silence, but a choice about what to keep personal.

Private life and public moments
In August last year, Mugure teased her wedding photos on Instagram, starting with her Ruracio.
On Tuesday, August 5, 2025, Mugure posted radiant photos of herself. She wrote about how she felt on her traditional wedding day.
“Before I start filling up your timeline with my Ruracio day videos, I want to start with my makeup,” she wrote.

She spoke about the feedback she received on that day.
“I got so many compliments from my family and friends,” she wrote as she also shared how she felt about her look, “I felt so beautiful,” she wrote.
These posts showed a rare public moment from her personal life, even as she chose to keep her marriage private.
Yvonne Mugure rose to fame in 2023 after going viral for flaunting a Ksh76,000 grocery haul from a local supermarket. She later revealed she is the niece of former Kiambu governor Ferdinand Waititu. She also shared a photo of a Ksh90 million cheque she was depositing. These moments shaped her public image as someone who lives large.
