Digital content creator and influencer Liz Jackson has said rural life is humbling and not her preferred lifestyle.
She is currently in the upcountry for her grandmother’s burial and has been sharing her experiences there. Liz, on Wednesday, March 4, 2026, said the early mornings stood out for her.
“I was up by 4.30 a.m. because when you go to Rome, you must do the?” she said, explaining that she had to adjust to the routine in the village.
She noted that waking up early is normal there.

“Because here, waking up at 7 a.m… that is considered late,” she said.
She admitted that the schedule is not something she would choose for herself.
Rural routine pushes her out of her comfort zone
Liz said she values convenience and is willing to pay for it.
“Me wanting fine things in life and me wanting to pay for convenience at any given time, like trust me, I will always pay extra to have my way,” she said.
She added that she prefers a different lifestyle.
“Because I don’t want to come back to this. It is not a bad life, but who wants to wake up at 4 a.m to go milk cows?” she posed.
Despite her remarks, she made it clear she does not look down on rural life.

“I don’t want to come back to this life, as I said, it is not a bad life, but… it is not something I would choose,” she said.
At the same time, she admitted the experience has changed her perspective.
“But then again, my having experienced this life has made me appreciate my life,” she said, adding that the visit has helped her reflect.
She maintained that she still desires comfort.
“I always want the fine things in life,” she said, stressing that her preferences remain the same even after the visit.
Looking ahead, Liz hinted she might take time off once she returns.
“I think after this, I am going to go on vacation,” she said.
She explained that the rural stay has reminded her of the lifestyle she prefers and the convenience she values.
