Social media influencer Lorraine Wamucii, popularly known as Wamz, has shared a deeply emotional tribute marking one year since the death of her brother.
In a heartfelt post on Instagram on Friday, March 6, 2026, she reflected on the pain and loss she experienced while recalling their final moments together.
“365 days ago, we had our last silly conversation. 365 days ago, I lived through the worst day of my life,” Wamz said.
She described the intense emotions she felt when she realised he was gone.
“365 days ago, I physically felt something being taken from me, & after, I took a picture of my tears on the floor, to come back to once that feeling ever makes sense to me, & hours later, I discovered you were gone,” she wrote.
Wamz said that day broke their sibling bond on earth, leaving her with a void that has lasted a year.
Remembering him every day
Despite the grief, Wamz explained that she still feels her brother’s presence in her life.
“But still, I feel you every day. I feel your protection when I’m sad, I hear your voice & see you when I sleep, I feel your guidance when I need it, & it’s the most comforting feeling,” she said.
She added that this comfort has helped her cope with the daily absence of her brother’s guidance and care.
Wamz reflected on the everyday moments she misses, from his reassurance to their weekly quarrels and random encounters.
“I don’t understand how I’ve been able to live through a whole 365 days, without calling you, without you always reassuring me that we will be fine, without you telling us to drive safely in the rain, without us upsetting each other every other week, without bumping into each other on random nights,” she wrote.
She also expressed gratitude that her brother continues to watch over her.
“I miss you dearly down here, but I’m grateful that you’re watching over us, because I know & feel it. You did everything for me, & now, I’ll do everything for you,” Wamz said.
She concluded her tribute with a touching image of love and remembrance, saying, “It’s raining now, & I’m safe. For you, I can only pray that heaven is like rain on a tin roof. I love you.”
