Tanzanian Bongo Flava star Harmonize has revealed that he paid his Italian ex-wife about 50,000 Euros, roughly Ksh7.5 million, to settle a long-running dispute between them and finally bring their court battle to an end.
In a video shared on Monday, March 9, 2026, the Single Again hitmaker opened up about the fallout from his breakup with his former partner, Sarah Michelotti. The singer said the issue had dragged on for years after their separation and even reached the courts, forcing him to involve lawyers before the two families decided to resolve the matter peacefully.
“If you know me, you know the story of Sarah. After breaking up for so many years, we quarrelled, and we had to go to court. I had to involve my lawyer. I remember all the support, nimeona. There is no need to be enemies,” Harmonise said in the video.
The singer explained that both families eventually came together for a meeting and agreed that it was better to settle the matter once and for all instead of continuing with a long legal fight.
“Had a sit down with my family, her family and my wife. We agreed, and we had a settlement; her mother is happy she is happy. It was 50,000 Euros (Ksh7.5 million). At the end of the day, money is not everything,” Harmonize stated.

Harmonize, whose real name is Rajab Abdul Kahali, married Sarah in 2019 in a relationship that attracted massive attention across East Africa. At the time, many fans were fascinated by the cross-continental love story between the Tanzanian star and the Italian model and entrepreneur. However, the marriage did not last long. The couple separated in 2020 amid claims of infidelity and growing tensions.
Their breakup quickly turned messy and public, with disagreements over property and financial contributions made during their relationship. Sarah had previously indicated that she supported Harmonize during the early stages of his career and deserved a share of the wealth they had accumulated while together. The matter later found its way to court, keeping the former couple in the headlines for years.
Now, with the settlement reportedly paid, Harmonize says he chose peace over prolonged conflict. In his own words, there was simply no point in remaining enemies after so many years.
Away from the legal drama, the singer’s love life has also continued to attract attention. Harmonize recently rekindled his romance with his on-and-off lover, Fridah Kajala Masanja. The two have had a complicated relationship over the years, marked by dramatic breakups, reconciliations and public declarations of love.

Their relationship first became public in 2021, shortly after Harmonize separated from Sarah. At one point, the singer even proposed to Kajala before the couple later parted ways again. Recently, however, the two were spotted together again, sparking speculation that they have decided to give their love another chance.
