Radio host Michelle Kamene Goro has opened up about a harrowing health scare that nearly cost her life earlier this year.

Speaking candidly in a video shared on her official Instagram account on Friday, March 27, 2026, Kamene revealed that her ordeal began in November 2025, but it reached a critical point in January 2026.

The radio host went on to say that she was left with only a 12-hour window between life and death.

“I have been sick for a while and just did not know how sick I was, from around last year, November, but in January 2026, I almost died. I was left with like 12 hours; the window between life and death for me was like 12 hours,” Kamene revealed.

“I had sepsis and peritonitis in my abdomen, and they removed five litres of pus from my abdomen. Up until now, there are a lot of questions about where it came from,” she narrated.

Her condition had a devastating impact on her kidneys, which were severely damaged while her body fought the infections.

Kamene endured intense pain while undergoing dialysis, and her health struggles were compounded when she contracted pneumonia and experienced the collapse of one of her lungs.

“My kidneys were also shot because of the work of fighting infections,” Kamene added.

“The level of pain I was in while I was on dialysis, I was in the ICU, HDU, I got pneumonia, and one of my lungs collapsed.”
