Renowned gospel music duo Wapendwa Muziki have shared an eye-opening glimpse into their hectic home life weeks after welcoming their first child.
Speaking candidly in the Joy Ride podcast, in an episode aired on Friday, March 27, 2026, Nina, one-half of the couple, revealed that they have gone through nine nannies in just two weeks.
“Nine in a span of two weeks,” Nina disclosed.
Her husband Mesh further recalled a particularly frightening incident that nearly ended in disaster.
“Kuna mwenye alitapikia gari yangu, nikaenda kwa carwash nikawauliza, hii gari ikioshwa na Ksh5000, itaoshwa mbaka wapi?” Mesh revealed.
“Nilikuwa na drive karibu nipate accident, na alikuwa amebeba mtoto.”

On the other hand, Nina added that the said nanny was carrying their child when that incident happened.
“We literally like saved him; It was so bad,” Nina said.
When asked why they have had so many nannies in such a short period, Mesh defended their decision, emphasising the challenge of finding the right carer.
“You get many nannies until you get the right one,” Mesh stated.
The couple’s honesty highlights the struggles of balancing a demanding music career with parenting, showing that even celebrities face the same everyday challenges as other parents.
Baby Mpendwa
On Monday, January 5, 2025, Ninah announced the birth of their baby boy. On the other hand, Mesh took to his Instagram to share a raw video of the delivery, revealing that Ninah gave birth naturally and not via C-section, as many had speculated.
In the video, he is seen together with her inside the delivery room, clad in a hospital gown and jumping in joy.

In the raw clip, Ninah, who has previously opened up about her fears regarding childbirth, is heard asking why the baby did not cry immediately after birth, letting out a huge sigh once the doctors helped it cry.
“Oh God, why am I not hearing the baby cry? Oh no, please,” Ninah said.
“Don’t worry, the baby is okay, and we are well. Thank God,” her husband, Mesh, said while comforting her.
While sharing the clip, Mesh noted that the whole process was not an easy one and expressed gratitude to God for making everything successful in the end.
“WE ARE LIVE | Finally the raw and uncut labour and delivery video of @babympendwa | We saw God on this one 😭😭,” he wrote.
