Superstar Cristiano Ronaldo moved another step closer to making football history after scoring his 967th career goal in Al Nassr’s emphatic 5–2 victory over Al-Najma in the Saudi Pro League.

Ronaldo, returning from a month-long injury layoff, went back into the scoring sheet, scoring twice in the second half.

The veteran forward converted a penalty to restore his side’s lead before finding the net again to take his career tally to 967, bringing him within touching distance of the historic 1,000-goal mark.

The victory marked a 13th consecutive league triumph for Al-Nassr, strengthening their position at the top of the table and extending their lead over rivals Al-Hilal.
