Offset, best known as a member of the hip-hop group Migos, has been hospitalised after being shot, according to reports from TMZ and ABC News.
According to the police report, the three-time Grammy-nominated artiste has sustained non-life-threatening injuries. A representative told TMZ that he is stable and being closely monitored as he recovers in the hospital.
Authorities responded to the incident that occurred on the night of Monday, April 5, 2026, and quickly secured the scene. In a statement, Seminole County Police said: “We are aware of an incident that occurred at a valet area after 7 p.m. that resulted in non-life-threatening injuries to an individual who was transported to the hospital.”
The department added that officers were on site immediately and the situation was contained. “The site is secure, and there is no threat to the public. Operations continue as normal,” the statement continued.
According to the police, the two individuals have been detained, while investigations into the shooting remain ongoing.
Offset, born Kiari Cephus, rose to global fame as part of Migos alongside Quavo and the late Takeoff. The group helped define the sound of 2010s hip-hop with hits like Bad and Boujee and Walk It Talk It, collaborating with artists such as Drake, Nicki Minaj, and Cardi B.
The group’s trajectory was deeply impacted in 2022 following the death of Takeoff, who was fatally shot at the age of 28.
His passing sent shockwaves through the music industry and marked a turning point for the trio, who formally went their separate ways soon after.
Following that loss, Offset has continued his solo career, working with artists including Travis Scott, Don Toliver, and 21 Savage. In 2025, he released a surprise mixtape featuring YoungBoy Never Broke Again and NoCap.
