TikToker Anne Kawira has unveiled plans to remove some of the tattoos she has on various parts of her body, including her hands, in a bid to position herself as ready for leadership should she clinch the Athiru Gaiti Ward MCA seat in 2027.
In a post shared on her TikTok page on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, Kawira called on her fans and followers to connect her with reputable tattoo removal professionals, signalling the start of her transformation journey.
She clarified that although she had initially vowed not to alter her appearance in preparation for the political seat, she has since reconsidered her stance after receiving overwhelmingly positive feedback and strong support from residents in response to her campaign manifesto.
“Tag for me any tattoo remover. It’s time, MCA Athiru Gaiti Ward 2027,” she wrote, reaffirming her political ambitions while appealing to her audience for assistance in finding the right experts.
Linturi meeting
The announcement comes only a week after Kawira pledged her support to former Agriculture Cabinet Secretary Mithika Linturi ahead of his bid to become the next Meru governor.
Kawira visited Linturi at his Meru home on Tuesday, March 31, 2026, where she assured him and members of the Democracy for Citizens Party (DCP) that she and her supporters would do everything possible to ensure his victory.
“Mithika, you are our incoming governor, and we will do everything possible to make sure you win that seat. We will support you fully. I have come to visit you and the DCP party because we want to stand with you,” she said.
During the meeting, Kawira expressed that she saw Linturi as the incoming governor and promised that she would mobilise voters to back him.

She expressed her motivation by the attentiveness of DCP leaders to citizens’ concerns, emphasising their willingness to listen when people voice their challenges.
“DCP leaders listen to us when we share our challenges, and that is why we support the party,” she added.
At the same time, Kawira, who is best friends with Pastor Kanyari, revealed that many residents from her community were supportive of DCP and encouraged joining the party to help achieve their shared goal of ensuring that President William Ruto serves only one term.
She urged Kenyans to prepare their voting cards ahead of the 2027 general election and highlighted the need for unity among young voters, particularly Gen Z, to achieve this objective.
“People from where I come are also saying that DCP is the way to go, and they support us joining you to help ensure Ruto serves only one term. I have also come to ask Kenyans to get ready with their voting cards and to unite, especially Gen Z, so we can achieve this goal of sending Ruto home in 2027,” she said.
The TikToker made a direct appeal to her fellow Meru residents, urging them to rally behind Linturi as he seeks to lead Meru County.
“I am appealing to my fellow Meru residents to support Mithika Linturi as he seeks to become the governor of Meru County,” Kawira said.
